FERA, FSE and UNI MEI would like to invite you to the first of a 3 webinar series focusing on the ongoing transposition of Directive 2019/790 on copyright in the Digital Single Market in Member States, its impact on audiovisual authors’ contracts and on the new European audiovisual production landscape. On March 10, we will provide participants with an overview of the transposition process and its key trends, present the database on the Directive’s fair remuneration provisions at national level, before zooming in on article 19 – Transparency obligation and its practical implementation in industry practice as of June 2022. You can already pencil in webinar #2 on April 7 AM “Sharing in the success of our work: how to achieve fair remuneration for audiovisual authors?”, and webinar #3 on June 2 AM “Making the new European production landscape sustainable for audiovisual authors”. This webinar cycle is part of our joint 2021-2022 FERA-FSE-UNI MEI project “Strengthening Collective Bargaining for Audiovisual Creators”, which aims at building the capacity of audiovisual authors’ guilds and representative organizations in Europe, to bargain collectively, to coordinate this bargaining at EU level, and to promote employment opportunities with decent working conditions and fair remuneration for audiovisual creators.
