BIO TO B - INDUSTRY DAYS
9th EDITION - Bologna, from 16th to 18th of June 2022
Bio to B it is the annual appointment that Biografilm Festival devotes to business-to-business networking between audiovisual professionals. The goal is to promote and support Italian and European productions of character-driven documentaries, docu-series and biopics.
During three intense days, producers, authors, trade associations and industry professionals will have the chance to keep up-to-date and exchange their views with the most relevant production, distribution and dissemination organizations in Europe.
Thematic panels and workshops, trainings, pitching forums of selected projects, one-to-one meetings and opportunities for networking will be set up to gather suggestions, opinions and tips, find production and distribution partners, make contacts with Film Commission, Film Institutes and Festival Programmers.
Projects presentation
We seek a maximum of 20 film and docu-series projects that are in a work in progress stage or in a rough cut stage.
To participate in the selection you will need to register your project on the Festhome portal via this link following the instructions and uploading the required materials no later than 29th April 2022.
The selected projects will be involved in a Pitching Lab, namely a shared and personalized preparatory training that will be held online in May 2022, and will be presented to the public in the Pitching Forum on the occasion of Bio to B days (16th - 18th June 2022).
Bio to B Pitching Lab
The selected project teams will be actively involved in the online pitch preparation workshop, which will be led by the Bio to B coordinator. The workshop will be useful for finalising and preparing the project presentation.
Participation in the Lab is mandatory and reserved to those who represent the selected projects (the director and the producer).
Pitching Forum
Bio to B 2022 selected projects will be presented to an audience of international experts and decision makers between 16th and 18th June in Bologna.
Project teams will present their proposals with a recorded pitch. As for the projects in development, the pitch is to last about 7' and include a pre-recorded presentation and a teaser not longer than 3'. For projects at a rough cut stage, the pitch is to last maximum 15' and include a 8'-10' clip of film material.
N. B. All the pitches must be made in English. Non-English video material must have English subtitles.
One-to-one meetings
The pitch teams will have the opportunity to discuss more deeply their projects in one-to-one meetings with industry guests.
In addition, coffee breaks, network lunches and exclusive cocktail parties will be offered to the participants in the activities of Bio to B 2022.
