Proud of our members' achievements

The Directors Guild of Cyprus proudly celebrates two outstanding achievements that

highlight the growing international presence of Cypriot cinema and its filmmakers.

We are delighted to congratulate Myrsinie Aristeidou on her film "Hold Onto Me", which has been officially selected for the Sundance Film Festival. Sundance remains

one of the most prestigious platforms worldwide for independent cinema, and this selection is a remarkable achievement, as it marks the first-ever Cypriot film to be selected for Sundance.

At the same time, we extend our warm congratulations to Minos Papas, whose latest film "MOTHEWITCH " has been selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Rotterdam is internationally renowned for championing bold, innovative, and forward-thinking filmmaking, making this selection a significant milestone for both the director and Cypriot cinema as a whole.

This is yet another achievement for Minos Papas, as he was one of the producers of the film "Take Me Home", which has also been officially selected for the Sundance Film Festival.

These achievements reaffirm the talent and creative diversity of filmmakers connected to Cyprus, and we are immensely proud to see their work resonating on such important global stages.

The Directors Guild of Cyprus congratulates both filmmakers and wishes them continued success on their festival journeys and beyond.
