 February 25th at 5 P.M. CET (Webinar)

Carbon footprinting in the film and TV industry

A growing number of productions need to assess their carbon footprint and report it to funds or broadcasters. Industry specific carbon calculators have been developed to help measure the amount of greenhouse gases released by production activities. This course will teach you the scientific basis of carbon calculation, how to apply carbon accounting to the film and TV industry and will give you insights into the most frequently used carbon calculators.
By the end of this course you will understand the key climate challenges facing the film industry, how and why to carry out a carbon footprint, what data to include or exclude, how to interpret results, and the role and limits of sustainability labels and carbon offsetting. A final quizz will give you access to a certificate. Designed by European experts, the course works across contexts, regardless of the tools or calculators used. The course includes videos, quizzes, exercices with and without access to a carbon calculator, and other interactive activities!
