THANOS ANGELIS is a Greek-Cypriot Director,Producer and Editor. He studied Communication and Mass Media at the Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has studied painting for 8 years at the “Ergodidaskalion” of Eirini Koutridou and since 2007 has worked in various fields of filmmaking. He has produced, directed and edited films, documentaries, music videos & tv commercials. Notable works: In 2014 he produced and edited the documentary short “Stories of Livadero” ( Best Documentary Short -Bridges Peloponnesian Corinthian International Film Festival) . In 2015 he directed the Music Video “Mr.Smith” by Tolis Fasois ( Best Music Video of the Year by Athens Voice). In 2016 he completed his first feature length documentary “Villa Iolas, a Journey through Time and Space” which premiered at the Greek Film Archive at 17/12/17. In 2018 he directed the black musical comedy “Vegeterian Tiger” at Alkmini Theatre.
Ο Θάνος Αγγέλης είναι σκηνοθέτης, παραγωγός και διευθυντής της εταιρίας παραγωγής AngelisFilmsLtd . Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1988. Σπούδασε Επικοινωνία και Μέσα Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης στο ΕΚΠΑ και ζωγραφική στο «Εργοδιδασκαλείο» της Ειρήνης Κουτρίδου. Ασχολείται με τη σκηνοθεσία, παραγωγή και το μοντάζ ταινιών, διαφημιστικών σποτ, ντοκιμαντέρ και μουσικών βίντεο. Το 2014 ανέλαβε την παραγωγή και το μοντάζ του βραβευμένου (Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Πελοποννήσου) ντοκιμαντέρ μικρού μήκους «Ιστορίες απο το Λιβαδερό, Κοζάνης». Το 2015 σκηνοθέτησε το μουσικό βίντεο “Mr Smith” του Tolis Fasois το οποίο κέρδισε το βραβείο του καλύτερου βίντεο κλιπ της χρονιάς από την Athens Voice. To 2016 ολοκλήρωσε το πρώτο του ντοκιμαντέρ μεγάλου μήκους, «Βίλα Ιόλα, Ταξίδι στο Χώρο και Χρόνο» το οποίο έκανε πρεμιέρα στην Ταινιοθήκη της Ελλάδος στις 17/12/17. Το 2018-2019 σκηνοθέτησε την μαύρη μουσική κωμωδία «Η Χορτοφάγος Τίγρις» στο Θέατρο Αλκμήνη.
