28, born and raised in Limassol, Cyprus; Sofia has been working between architecture and film for the past 10 years. Beginning with a BA in Film and Television Production from Westminster University (UK), she focused on directing short narrative films and learning technical skills in cinematography. She then went on to develop her aesthetic sensibilities, critical thinking and passion for storytelling during her studies at Canterbury School of Architecture and University of California, Berkeley where she got her Masters in Architecture.
She uses film photography to document people, places and objects with whimsical humor often questioning the reality that surround her. She appreciates the importance of capturing the mundane moments of life.
Η Σοφία Αναστασίου είναι 29 ετών, σκηνοθέτης ταινιών που επέστρεψε πρόσφατα από το εξωτερικό στην Κύπρο με σκοπό να δημιουργήσει την πρώτη της ταινία μικρού μήκους ως
σκηνοθέτης. Η Σοφία έχει ένα BA in Film and Television Production, BA in Architecture, και Masters in Architecture. Τα τελευταία χρόνια δούλευε στην Αμερική ως Animator και Freelance Filmmaker. Με την επιστροφή της στην Κύπρο η Σοφία δουλεύει σε αρχιτεκτονικο γραφείο και παράληλα πάνω στην προ-παραγωγή της ταινίας της.
