Simon Kassianides

Film Director, Commercials Director

Kassianides has an extensive resume in TV and film in both the UK and US working on projects for Marvel, Disney+, NBC Universal, CBS, ABC, BBC, ITV. As a multidisciplined classically trained actor hailing originally from UK, Kassianides’ breakout role came in playing opposite Daniel Craig in the hit Sony feature Quantum of Solace, as well as playing opposite Woody Harrelson in Tennessee Williams’ The Night of the Iguana in the West End. Before heading to the U.S. Kassianides was on stage at The Almeida in the world premiere of The Lightning Play. Currently he can be seen starring as a series regular in the multi award winning Star Wars TV series The Mandalorian for Disney+.


After Kassianides’ success in the UK he relocated to the US, and was swiftly cast in a recurring role on the hit show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (ABC) followed quickly by a series regular role in Pearson (UCP). Kassianides’ credits include Suits, Criminal Minds, Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, Zoo, How To Get Away With Murder and Nikita to name a few. Kassianides starred in between Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl for the Warner Bros. feature film Unforgettable, as well as being cast alongside Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer in the feature film Cliffs of Freedom. This last spring Kassianides starred in The Well, Marios Piperides second feature film - his first won Best International Feature Film at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival.


Kassianides has also spent the last few years expanding his career into writing and producing. In 2021 he sold a feature film screenplay to UK’s Raw TV. Since then he has been working with Hunt Lowry at Roserock in Los Angeles, and Johan Hedman at Warner Bros in both London and Sweden, where he has sold further feature film scripts and television shows. Last year, for WB and Viaplay, Kassianides adapted Camilla Lackberg’s novel ‘Box’ (sold 30m+ copies to date) into a six part tv show which is being set up in the UK currently.


This winter Kassianides will produce and direct The Walker in Dublin, a film which he also wrote, producing alongside Warner Bros Sweden, Roserock and Copper Island.
