Petros Charalambous was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1976. His early exposure to photography, theater and art, as well as his need for emotional and visual expression led him to Hollywood where he studied film and television directing at the California State University, Northridge. His work experience in USA includes a year at CNN/DNEW in Los Angeles. In 2000 he came back to Cyprus, where he taught television production at the Frederick University. At the same time he was working for Lumiere Services as a film director, until 2008. Since then, he works as a freelancer film director shooting commercials, corporate videos, music videos, narratives and documentaries. Some of the commercials he directed were shortlisted for several advertising competitions and won prestigious awards. Currently in pre-production for the feature film “The Land of the Golden Apple”.
Ο Πέτρος Χαραλάμπους γεννήθηκε στη Λευκωσία το 1976. Σπούδασε σκηνοθεσία τηλεόρασης και κινηματογράφου στο California State University, Northridge. Από το 2000 σκηνοθετεί διαφημίσεις, ντοκιμαντέρ, μουσικά φιλμάκια και ταινίες. Η μικρού μήκους ταινία του «Η Απόδραση της Βασιλισσας» προβλήθηκε σε πολλά φεστιβάλ παγκοσμίως και κέρδισε βραβεία και διακρίσεις. Μερικές από τις διαφημίσεις του επιλέγηκαν ως υποψήφιες σε διάφορους διαγωνισμούς διαφήμισης και κέρδισαν σημαντικά βραβεία. Τώρα βρίσκεται στην περίοδο προπαραγωγής για την μεγάλου μήκους ταινία του “The Land of the Golden Apple”.
