Paul Iacovou | Παύλος Ιακώβου

Film Director | Σκηνοθέτης Κινηματογράφου

Paul’s career is a hybrid combination of the Advertising and Entertainment industries.

On the heels of a Royal Society of Art award, he founded Navajo Media, a brand consultancy that for over 25 years has seen him produce work for a host of global blue-chip companies. The advent of digital saw the company move into the online space, allowing Paul to take advantage of converging media, most notably film and TV.

Vegas Media was conceived by Paul post Millennium as a media production and artiste management company, servicing the entertainment industry on both sides of the Atlantic. Paul has been fortunate to produce projects for a wide range of high profile artistes including Sammy Davis Jr, Robbie Williams, The Bee Gee’s, Engelbert Humperdinck and Liza Minnelli.

Paul’s 2004 documentary ‘If I Never Sing Another Song’, a fly-on-the-wall production charting cancer-stricken top UK performer Joe Longthorne as he battled on tour whilst receiving treatment was picked up by the Biography Channel, simultaneously selling over 200,000 copies in support of numerous charities.

His most recent work includes ‘The Ghost of Peter Sellers’, directed by veteran Hollywood Director, Peter Medak (‘The Ruling Class’, ‘The Changeling’, ‘Romeo is Bleeding’) in a feature documentary about his ill-fated film for Columbia Pictures shot in Cyprus in 1973.

The documentary opened with its World Premiere in Venice, and US premiere following hours later in Telluride to rave reviews. Hollywood Reporter’s chief critic, Todd McCarthy, called it “jaw dropping” and a “can’t-take-your-eyes-off-it documentary“. The Ghost of Peter Sellers heads off to a barrage of international top tier festivals.

Future projects include a feature film on Peter Sellers and a biopic of a legendary American performer.
