Costas Drakos (b. 1986) is a Greek-Cypriot filmmaker based in Nicosia, Cyprus. He has been working professionally as a videographer, editor, and colorist since 2012. From an early age, he developed a strong interest in photography, videography, and graphic design. He studied Graphic Design at the European University Cyprus while simultaneously working as a full-time Image Technician at FJ Color Lab. After graduating, he shifted his focus to motion picture creation and has since been actively involved in the audiovisual production industry in various roles. Costas has directed and shot corporate films, fashion shows, commercials, and short documentaries, and has collaborated with organizations and non-profits including HDR and BirdLife Cyprus. His directorial debut is the documentary Life with Vultures, the result of a five-year effort dedicated to the protection of the Griffon Vulture in Cyprus, for which he directed, shot, and edited the entire film. Alongside his filmmaking work, he also operates a film and audiovisual equipment rental house.
Ο Κώστας Δράκος (γεν. 1986) είναι Ελληνοκύπριος κινηματογραφιστής με έδρα τη Λευκωσία. Από το 2012 εργάζεται επαγγελματικά ως βιντεογράφος, μοντέρ και colorist. Από νεαρή ηλικία ανέπτυξε έντονο ενδιαφέρον για τη φωτογραφία, το βίντεο και τη γραφιστική. Σπούδασε Γραφιστική στο European University Cyprus, ενώ παράλληλα εργάστηκε ως Image Technician στο FJ Color Lab. Μετά την αποφοίτησή του στράφηκε δυναμικά στη δημιουργία κινούμενης εικόνας και έκτοτε δραστηριοποιείται επαγγελματικά στον χώρο της οπτικοακουστικής παραγωγής, αναλαμβάνοντας ποικίλους ρόλους. Έχει σκηνοθετήσει και κινηματογραφήσει εταιρικά βίντεο, επιδείξεις μόδας, διαφημίσεις και σύντομα ντοκιμαντέρ, ενώ έχει συνεργαστεί με οργανισμούς και μη κερδοσκοπικούς φορείς, όπως το HDR και το BirdLife Cyprus. Το σκηνοθετικό του ντεμπούτο είναι το ντοκιμαντέρ «Life with Vultures», αποτέλεσμα πενταετούς προσπάθειας για την προστασία του Γύπα της Κύπρου, στο οποίο ανέλαβε τη σκηνοθεσία, τη φωτογραφία και το μοντάζ. Παράλληλα, διατηρεί εταιρεία ενοικίασης κινηματογραφικού και οπτικοακουστικού εξοπλισμού.
